Weird Vintage Untitled Document

Satirical cartoonist George Cruikshank mocked the crinoline with this illustration in 1850, right at the beginning of its popularity.  The gentlemen had to use long-handled trays, AKA “Baker’s Peels” to hand the ladies food and drink.  (via)
